In 2008 Cowperthwaite Design "adopted" two apartments and with furniture donated from K&B Homes. Claudia not only transformed two apartments but two lives as well. She is currently serving on the Development Committee.

St. Louise House, a program of VinCare Services, is an apartment style transitional housing program. It's mission is to provide a safe nurturing environment for homeless women & their children so they can heal emotional, physical & spiritual wounds of homelessness, develop skills needed to become self-sufficient & secure stable housing. It is designed to convey a sense of dignity & respect where people's view of themselves can be radically transformed & where those otherwise treated with neglect, harshness, or pity Can instead experience the values of respect, trust & responsibility.
